Emilie Nelmes

Hi, I'm Emilie, the owner and creative heart behind Bulimba Florist.

I've been a florist for over 15 years, and for the past five years, I've had the privilege of serving the Bulimba community with beautiful flowers, thoughtful gifts, and plenty of lovely conversations.

I've always loved creating something beautiful. There's something so satisfying about putting colours and textures together and stepping back to think, "Hot dang, they look good together!" Nature never stops inspiring me, and I think that's because I grew up with parents who loved gardening and showed me just how incredible the natural world can be.

I was lucky enough to fall in love with someone who shares all the things I love most: nature, animals, wonderful coffee, and time outdoors. Truthfully, Chad and I are usually so busy in the shop that when we get time together, we're more likely to be quietly recharging than hiking through a rainforest. However, it's those simple moments that fill our cups and remind us to slow down. Chad has been such a big part of Bulimba Florist, and I don't know what I would do without him.
